Country Store

participating members will need to work shifts during the day. This may be working a cash register, working aside a cashier cutting off sales tags and/or bagging items purchased. For some who prefer not to sit,

you can be a rover and straighten the tables of sale items You will be contacted for scheduling to arrange for your shift and duties.

Sale items must be the property of the seller and be in condition befitting the reputation of the guild.

Participants Agreement and inventory sheets will be collected when you arrive. Make yourself a copy too. The forms can be downloaded from the column to the left.

FQG accepts no responsibility for any item lost, stolen or damaged. There is no insurance coverage for these items. This has not been a common problem in the past but the possibility exists.

Important Dates and Times

Drop-off: Saturday June 10, 2023 between 8:30 and 9:30. Once you turn in your paperwork you will disperse your items onto the tables. There are signs indicating which item goes on which table. The sale begins at 10 am so judge by your arrival time by how long it is going to take to spread your wares!

Please leave at least one box or tote, labeled with your member number, We use these at teardown to sort unsold items at the end of the sale. These boxes are stowed under a table and we use them to sort into and the end of the sale.

Please report for your shift at least 10 min early. Please wear your name tag.

Pick-up: Saturday June 10 between 4:15 and 5:00 pm

Name your Price: At our country store you name the price – You keep 75% and the guild takes 25%

At our Country Store you name the price -- you keep 75% and the Guild takes 25% for commission. Reminder: we have done away with the half-off sale.

The all-important price tag:

Use only the tags provided. Enter your member number, as it is the only way we can connect your items to you. Use the inventory sheet to enter each item, number it as you go, and the number goes on the price tag. Your sales price must include the 25% guild commission. Please write clearly on the tags.

Securely attach the upper section of the tag to the item. Secure it with 2” wide packing tape, staples or safety pins - whatever it takes to keep it on. Do not staple fabric other than thru the selvedge. If the tag comes off we cannot sell the item - we have no way of knowing to whom it belongs. We have to cut off the bottom of the tag at the cash register - this is our inventory control. Do not secure the tag below the middle!

Price tags for magazines or soft cover books go inside the front cover on the right hand page,

Suggestions for a better sale:

Planning ahead: Fillable pdf files should be able to be saved if you want to start pricing and inventorying items over time. Or you can print them and fill in by hand.
